Tuesday Travel Quotes | 2

Another week, another Tuesday travel quotes! I’ve selected 2 new quotes this week and give an explanation on what they mean to me. I hope it relates to you in some way. Enjoy!

“Travel is very subjective. What one person loves, another loathes.” – Robin Leach

I do consider myself a slow traveler. I didn’t realize this until I was actually started traveling around Vietnam. I was frequently told that I needed to go everywhere in Asia with the short 4 weeks I had but I just hate being rushed. Don’t get me wrong, I do want to visit all of those places but I would rather immerse myself in a city I was already in. I would not be able to do this if I had to hop on the plane or train every 2 to 3 days.

For the first few days I was in Da Nang city, where I just relaxed on the beach with some coconuts water. It wasn’t until a week after I started to see what Da Nang had to offer. Yes, I could’ve done it in the first few days but then I wouldn’t had had any memories of me bathing in the sun or swimming in the ocean alone and having a random encounter with a jellyfish (I got out of the waters after I seen it!).

I do however know a couple of friends that love the feeling of being on the move all the time and that’s completely okay too. What I’m trying to say is that there’s no right or wrong way to go about this. It’s figuring out what you enjoy doing and do more of that.

“Travel is more than the seeing of sights; it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living.”- Miriam Beard

My second quote for today is from Miriam Beard. Every time I came back home from any of my travels, I always had a new vision of how my life was going to be.

I’ve always wanted to move out of my country for a long period of time because I thought Canada had nothing to offer me. But I soon realized from traveling that this isn’t the case.

What I’ve learned while being in a hot country for a month is that Canada winter months aren’t as I bad I make them out to be. Yes, the winter months can be draining and depressing at times but it can also be exciting and refreshing. We get 4 seasons of weather while some of the world only experience two. This something to be grateful for, not depress about.

I know that the more places I go, the more my life visions of the future will change but I’m completely okay with that. It’s so accurate when someone said life is a journey.

How does these 2 travel quotes relate to you? I’d love to hear it! Tell me below and make sure to subscribe to my newsletter.
